THE LOCATION Together with the Chope Community, owners have built this glamping site hotel. Four years of training and working hand in hand with the local community have enabled outstanding buildings (completely manually made) to grow amongst the dunes. Their rounded shapes melt gracefully into this unique environment that is preserved by all means.
Paths through the dunes and the coastal forest, along the edge of Dongane lake and towards Dovela village offer you lots of opportunities to explore the area and meet people. Alternatively, you can relax on the terrace of your tent and watch the Humpback Whales (June to October), or walk down to the pristine beach and snorkel along our rocky reef.
THE GLAMPING UNITS Nested in the coastal forest, the bush camp offers four semi-luxury dome tents. Each tent is pitched on a wooden platform creating a private terrace and is equipped with a double bed, two single beds or two camp beds for the kids. The towels and the soap are provided for each person of the tent. Playing with the environment and built on stilts, the shared toilets and showers ensure an incredible view on the site and the Ocean.
Signposted trails criss-cross the bush camp and provide an easy and shady walk to your tent, the ablutions, the restaurant, the beach or the car park.
AMENITIES A stay there is on a full board basis: a buffet breakfast, a three course lunch and dinner. The food is part of the journey, hence we want our guests to eat well. The restaurant proposes a “scheduled” menu (starter, main course, desert, tea or coffee) with French tropicalized cuisine background (the cooks come from the local community are well trained!). In order to assess your taste and check any particular diet, you will be asked a few questions before your arrival. Your meals will be served in the restaurant or on the patio. The product are as much as possible locally sourced: the vegetable gardens on the edge of Dongane Lake, the ocean that faces us, the organic agricultural project of Onhacongoo, the head of the district Inharrime (35 km) or Maxixe (80 km).
ACTIVITIES Surrounded by the Indian Ocean, the coastal forest and the Dongane inland lake, this Eco Lodge is definitely tuned to the discovery and the exploration of nature.
