LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS This tented camp is situated at Ras Bweni, on a private beach of over 2 km in the north of Mafia Island. Mafia is a very wild place where you will enjoy a specific area of vegetation, beaches and activities. The closest airport is situated in Kilindoni and it takes 40 minutes to get to the site with a 4x4 vehicle. This site is the perfect place to enjoy isolation, complete relaxation and nature. You will discover the Indian Ocean off the coast of Tanzania, far from the tourist and commercial sites and activities.
Enjoy a barefoot experience thanks to the wooden floor of the bar and the restaurant, the dhow-wood furniture, the soft sand under your tent floors and the antique leather; in a simple atmosphere designed by the owners of this wonderful place.
THE GLAMPING UNITS The site is composed of six large tents with verandas directly leading onto the beach. The sea breezes is an advantage during the hot season.
Each room is equipped with a separate bathroom constructed by concrete block and equipped with solar lighting and solar-heated water. There are fans to keep you cool at night.
NEED TO KNOW The barbecue, when the weather permits it, will let you enjoy seafood, chicken, lamb, beef or excelent vegetarian dishes cooked off driftwood fires, accompanied by a wide selection of antipasti and salads.
English breakfast is served with fresh fruit, fruit juice, home-made yogurt and granola, cereals, toast, eggs, and bacon. Guests can also taste the real tanzanian coffee and tea.
ACTIVITIES The complete isolation from tourist activities and the beauty of the wilderness are the main attractions of this wonderful site.

HOW TO GET THERE The road transfer from Mafia airport to the camp (55 km) is not included in the rates and is US $120 per vehicle one way.
Concerning the flights, there are daily scheduled air services with same-day connections to the Ruaha, Arusha, Selous, Pemba and Zanzibar.
