THE YURT The yurt at this Colorado Ranch waits high on Cedar Mesa, just 15 minutes from the rustic town of Cedaredge - the gateway to Grand Mesa - the largest flat-top mountain in the world. With its own private 80 acres covered with Pinon Pines and Juniper there are miles of private hiking, biking and 4-wheeler trails and exclusive private access to 1,000s of acres of BLM.
30' in diameter with a loft, The YURT at the Ranch provides almost 900 sq. ft of living area. The 3/4 bath with hot and cold running water sits behind the full kitchen. There are two twin beds in the loft and a queen sleeper sofa in the main area. The entire YURT sits on a large raised deck with plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy the Colorado mountain air.
AMENITIES Established as a big game hunting camp by the owners, this site has corrals and a loafing shed for horses or mules, and there is plenty of parking and room to pitch a tent. A large wall tent can be provided for additional guests or the children. There are miles and miles of trails near to the site.
ACTIVITIES No direct activities are provided by the hosts but directions to various 4-wheeler, hiking or mountain biking trails will be provided. Local outfitters will arrange daily horseback rides or even overnight camping rides from the yurt into Gunnison National Forrest on the south side of Grand Mesa. Horses or 4-wheelers are available locally for rent.
