This riverside cabin rental near Blue Mountains National Park can sleep up to eight and is an ideal rental for glamping groups and families. The cabin is furnished with its own private terrace that looks out onto the surrounding woodland, and guests can hear the lull of the river close by. There is one king-size master bedroom, and four to six single beds. The family bathroom is large and fully equipped with hot water and shower.
The cabin offers a large spacious kitchen/dining area, which is great for socializing and sharing a delicious home-cooked meal. There is also a cozy fireplace and an outdoor barbecue for the summer months. The magnificent terrace boasts exceptional riverside views, and glampers can enjoy a glass of local wine on the terrace after a day of outdoor activities. The host is committed to a vision of sustainability, and all of the electricity in the cottage comes from solar panels. There are no TV or DVD player in the cabin, so guests can more easily enjoy the seclusion and tranquility of this rental.
Since the cottage is self-catering, the host suggests that guests bring their own food and drink, as well as a flashlight, matches, tissues, toilet paper, loungers and picnic rugs, and old cushions for comfort outside. There are plenty of outdoor activities on offer here, but some guests just love the tranquility of the site and prefer to indulge in a quiet night in stoking the fire, roasting marshmallows, playing Yahtzee, and reading.
For when they fancy an adventure, guests can ride across the hillside on horseback, and jump the fallen trees and rocky streams. There are horse riding trails to suit all abilities, and hourly, half, or full day rates are available for adults and children. The crystal clear Turon River is a freshwater trout stream and perfect for all dedicated fly fisherman. The season extends from the October to June.
Canoes are available on request, and glampers can spend an interesting evening panning for gold. There is often a reward—many used to flock to the valley to seek their fortune in this way. There are no less than 15 kilometers of river and thousands of acres of magical bush-land to discover. Guests can follow the old Chinese 'gold rush' water race up the river, and there are plenty of trails to be explored.
Other activities include swimming, mountain biking, and even a round of golf. This glamping site is full of wildlife; kangaroos, wombats, platypus, possums, bush lizards, and much more. The area is renowned for its array of birds, so guests are encouraged to bring along a pair of binoculars.
