Visit Australia | Glamping in New South Wales

This romantic NSW tiny house is ideal for a weekend in the country. During their stay in Australia, guests will be located on a flat piece of land looking down the hill towards the creek with uninterrupted views of the rolling hills with native trees and cattle.

The New South Wales tiny house has all the essentials including a well-equipped kitchenette complete, air-conditioning, and heating. There is a plush queen-size bed up in the loft and a sofa bed on the ground floor, which can be converted to a double bed. The kitchenette has everything guests need to cook up meals including a portable cooker, cookware, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes, silverware, a microwave, and a mini-fridge. The portable cooker can be kept in the cupboard when not in use to maximize space.

The bathroom facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). In Australia's severe climatic challenge of bush fires and drought, the hosts help to save the environment by conserving water using an eco-friendly toilet. Wastes are broken down in the compost toilet via an aerobic decomposition process. It is a waterless system whereas a standard dual flush toilet would use up to 350L of water per week. An aeration fan helps in the decomposition process and minimizes odors. If guests are using their own soap, shampoo, and toothpaste, the hosts ask that they bring biodegradable ones so that the greywater runoff does not harm the environment.

While glamping in New South Wales, guests are welcome to access the two main paddocks and the chook yard where glampers can feed vegetable scraps to the chickens. The hosts have put pots of parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, and basil on the deck of the NSW tiny house for guests to have fresh herbs. The retreat is also a great idea for a weekend getaway from Sydney as the bright lights of the city are just around two hours away by car.

Guests will have plenty to do while glamping in New South Wales as they will be close to the Jenolan Caves as well as the villages of Mount Victoria and Blackheath. There are many bushwalks in the area and the hosts are happy to recommend one that is suitable. 15 minutes away from the property, there is fine dining at the Ambermere Rose Inn, a wonderful wood-fired pizza at Alchemy, and great pub food at the Hampton Halfway Hotel. In summer, the hosts can direct guests to a wonderful swimming hole that only the locals know about.
