This secluded cabin getaway is based on an organic permaculture farm in the rainforest valley of Wilsons Creek near the North Coast town of Mullumbimby in Eastern Australia. Less than a two-hour drive from Brisbane, this self-contained cabin makes for an unforgettable escape for up to three guests to the breathtaking scenery of Byron Bay where it is surrounded by a vibrant, organic citrus orchard and spectacular mountain views. The bedroom features a queen-size bed while the sofa bed can sleep an additional guest if required.

The living area is a welcoming and inviting space where guests can hang out and admire the views through large, floor-to-ceiling windows or chill out to a movie in the evening while the adjacent, fully equipped kitchen showcases sleek furnishings including an oven, a stove, a microwave, and a refrigerator as well as ample space for a couple of chefs on cooking duty. There is a small dining area inside, however, guests can choose to enjoy their food outside on the large deck and take in the sunshine while socializing at mealtimes.

This 85-acre certified organic permaculture farm is located within a beautiful mountain rainforest valley, 10 minutes from the North Coast town of Mullumbimby in the Byron Bay hinterland of eastern Australia.

Situated just 20 minutes from the river and oceanfront town of Brunswick Heads, north of Byron, this landscape is a mix of large open mountain plateaus with panoramic views and beautiful subtropical rainforest. The surrounding valley has a number of creeks with beautiful freshwater swimming holes, national park, bush walks and lookouts with panoramic views. Organic gardens, orchard, acreage, animals, rainforest, and paths.

Within the valley there are numerous places to explore, walk, ride bikes, swim and discover waterfalls, freshwater creeks with swimming holes, panoramic views and sub-tropical rainforest. Conveniently located close enough to the coast and nearby towns and attractions but in a quiet, beautiful secluded mountain setting, the dome is suitable for individuals, couples, friends, and families on a short to long-term basis.

The valley has beautiful scenery and a short drive further, it opens up to steep, wild rainforest and gorges. Around the area are fresh water creeks, swimming holes and various walks and bike rides. Just a 10 minute drive away, Mullumbimby is a colorful, vibrant, diverse town full of food, cafes, shops, and interesting people with the river and beautiful beaches of Brunswick Heads nearby.

Additional Information

Access to this cabin is via a grassy track through a paddock. This is usually fine for all cars but after heavy rain or ongoing rain, it can sometimes restrict 2WD car access. If this is the case, cars can park off the property, about one-tenth of a mile off site.

Buses run to and from Mullumbimby to Byron Bay, QLD, further west, and down to Sydney. From Mullumbimby, the only access to this location is a 10-minute car drive.

Check-in time is 2:00 pm. Smoking is allowed inside this cabin.
