Cape Tribulation is a remote coastal town, just six minutes north-east of Daintree National Park, where guests can enjoy incredible rainforest walks, wildlife-watching, and more. Walking routes include boardwalks and a ridge trail on Mount Sorrow. Bird-watching and jungle zip-lining are also popular activities. Less than two hours away is Port Douglas, a town on the Coral Sea. In town, Macrossan Street is lined with boutique shops and restaurants for guests to visit, as well as the popular Four Mile Beach. Nearly three hours south of the property, guests will find Cairns, where boat tours to the Great Barrier Reef begin. Snorkelling in the reef with the sea animals is a must-have experience for guests staying nearby. Additionally, Cairns is home to the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, where guests can learn of the stories of indigenous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through music and dance. Also, Cairns Esplanade is lined with bars, shops, and restaurants, and has a swimming lagoon where guests can cool off.
