Just a short distance from the property is the mountain village of Kuranda, well-known for the Kuranda Scenic Railway, which winds along forested hillside tracks. The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway offers ocean-view gondola rides above the tropical rainforest. Guests will adore the village's traditional markets, filled with song, food, and crafts created by the local people. Kuranda is only a 10-minute drive from the property, and is one of the region's unmissable attractions.

In nearby Cairns, there are superb entertainment options, with lively bars and nightclubs, and live music venues. The Cairns Esplanade is a huge saltwater swimming lagoon, which overlooks the ocean. It offers safe year-round swimming, and there are places around the edge for children to play and build sandcastles, and for visitors to lounge on timber decks. Shady trees, landscaped gardens, and open spaces all contribute to its leisurely atmosphere. Cairns is the gateway to the world-famous Great Barrier Reef. Glampers will be able to take chartered trips for sightseeing, scuba diving, snorkeling, and fishing. It's also the place to go for booking organized excursions of other types, such as tubing on the river, kayaking, or day trips.

One of the most popular day trip destinations is the Daintree National Park. This vast tropical rainforest is home to thousands of species of plants and animals, many of which can be found nowhere else on the planet. Glampers can take part in magical guided walks through the forest and along the beaches, and can also spot huge crocodiles on a boat tour of the Daintree River. Port Douglas is another fantastic place to spend a day, as it's known for its stunning beaches, and its boutique shops and restaurants.

About an hour's drive from the property, guests can discover the Atherton Tablelands, which offers many recreation opportunities, including bush walks, waterfalls, coffee plantations, tropical fruit farms, and fascinating rural history. Whether glampers are interested in culture or history, keen on nature, have a taste for adventure, or are just looking to relax and watch the world go by, the Tablelands has something for everybody.
