The accommodation consists of one bedroom with a full, private, ensuite bathroom, along with a variety of shared indoor and outdoor spaces. In the bedroom, guests will find a queen-size bed, a wardrobe area, double doors opening onto the property's rear garden, and easy access to and from an adjacent covered parking space. There is also space for a child-size fold-up bed, a portable cot, or a solid single bed—the latter being a viable option provided that guests do not mind a snug fit. The ensuite bathroom contains a shower, a vanity, and a toilet.
The common space of the accommodation features an open-plan television lounge, sitting area, dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen, all of which guests will share with the guests of the other three bedrooms of the property. A number of other natural areas can be reached within a 45-minute drive, including Bellthorpe State Forest, Peachester State Forest, Luttons State Forest, and Beerbarrum West State Forest.
Encompassing 55 hectares (136 acres) of subtropical rainforest, Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve safeguards a remarkable array of biodiversity, including 107 species of trees, 50 species of vines, 21 species of fungi, 11 species of marsupials, and 139 species of birds, including brown cuckoo doves and green catbirds. Nature lovers will also be sure to want to visit Gardners Falls, which is part of the Obi Obi Gorge and features mild waterfalls, idyllic swimming holes, scenic picnic spots, and a couple of rope swings on which guests can unleash their inner Tarzan.
To see a variety of flora and fauna in a more controlled setting, guests can head to Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird World, where they can stroll through 16 acres of diverse gardens interspersed with waterfalls, ponds, picnic spots, stunning views of the Glasshouse Mountains, and three walk-through aviaries that are home to more than 600 birds, including Australian cockatoos, exotic parrots, and macaws.
