The safari tents are located in a secluded corner of this resort near Hawker, at just a five-hour drive north of Adelaide in South Australia. The tents accommodate two or four guests, making them well-suited for both couples and families seeking a unique getaway to the Flinders Ranges. Set within a well-appointed glamping site situated within the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park, the tents provide guests the opportunity to explore some of South Australia's most spectacular landscapes and take advantage of a wide variety of outdoor recreation options, while at the same time enjoying a full range of amenities for their comfort, convenience, and pleasure.

The tent comes in two varieties: a couples' tent (units 1 to 13) and a family tent (units 14 and 15). Inside the couple's tent, guests will find a king-size bed set on a wooden platform beneath wall-mounted lighting, along with padded armchairs, a cabinet, a large window and entrance that can be left open or closed, and an ensuite bathroom. The latter is fitted with a toilet, a sink, and a shower. Linens and towels are provided.

The family tent is identical, except that it also features an additional bedroom containing two twin beds. Other amenities for both the couple's tent and the family tent include air conditioning, a bar fridge, an alarm clock, a radio, ironing equipment, a hairdryer, and equipment for making tea and coffee.

Outside, guests will find a verandah with seating and a fire pit. Around the glamping site, guests will also enjoy shared access to a restaurant, a bar/bistro, a general store, and a swimming pool.

Inside the safari tent, guests will enjoy air conditioning, a bar fridge, an alarm clock, a radio, ironing equipment, a modern ensuite bathroom, a hairdryer, and equipment for making tea and coffee. Outside they will find a verandah with seating and a private fire pit. This extraordinary landscape is 800 million years old and has been home to the Adnyamathanha people for tens of thousands of years.

Scenic flights are definitely the best way to appreciate the grandeur of the surrounding area. Guests can get a bird's eye view of the gigantic caldera-like Wilpena Pound, and the majestic Flinders Ranges as they stretch into the distance like a gigantic natural backbone.

The park boasts a number of hiking trails, including the five-mile Wangarra Lookout Walk, which will take hikers past Wilpena Pound; the 12-mile trail to Brachina Gorge and Bunyeroo Valley, which are home of the rare yellow-footed rock wallaby. Guests can also visit the historic pastoral settlement of Old Wilpena Station, an important Aboriginal heritage site, on an Aboriginal guided tour.

Beyond hiking, sightseeing, wildlife viewing, and bird-watching, guests can go on guided four-wheel-drive tours, guided Aboriginal cultural walks, nature and bush walks, and scenic flights over Wilpena Pound and the Flinders Ranges, all of which can be arranged through the host.
