This charming vacation rental is situated near the magnificent Macedon Regional Park in Victoria and can accommodate two guests. This vacation rental is a huge double-storey on the side of Mount Macedon, in the heart of the Macedon Ranges, famed for its food and wine. The property is just 45 mins from Melbourne, 10 mins to Hanging Rock, and walking distance to the wonderful wineries and fabulous local pub. The property also has two two Labradors and two rescue goats.
Guests have access to their own room and bathroom, along with the library and large family room with fireplace. The cozy room features a luxurious queen-size bed appointed with quality linens, bedside tables with reading lamps, and romantic accents. The full bathroom features a toilet, a sink, an accessible rainfall shower, a separate soaking bathtub, and windows that provide beautiful views of the trees outside. Bath towels and toiletries are kindly provided by the host.
As there is one bathroom for two guest bedrooms the hosts try to only book one room at any time (except when big local events are on), so guests will have a private bathroom, unless traveling with friends in which case both rooms can be booked. When it is a busy period (e.g public holidays) there is no increase in fees or put minimum stay requirements, but the hosts may ask guests to share the bathroom with the other room. The hosts always check with the first booking to confirm and compensate via cooked breakfast or similar.
The only noises guests will hear are ducks and other birds, and the occasional goat bleat. Guests are also likely to see the kangaroos that tend to come on the property most nights, or even the local wombat if lucky. Kookaburras and Rosellas abound along with ducks, magpies, cockatoos, and other bird life can be spotted.
Guests will be able to immerse themselves in the tranquil ambiance of their mountain surroundings while still enjoying access to modern amenities and conveniences during their stay. The property features two acres of lush gardens, trees, and friendly animals including two labradors and two goats. Guests can enjoy al fresco meals at one of several outdoor dining tables while taking in views of the stunning surrounding landscape. Inside the accommodation, guests will find a lovely shared library with a large selection of books and an inviting fluffy chair that fits two. Additionally, guests can cozy up beside the charming wood-burning stove while watching their favorite shows on the TV. Guests will have everything they might need to feel at home during their stay.

Guests will find plenty of scenic nature trails for bushwalking, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing. The park is home to more than 400 species of native plants, 200 species of birds, and iconic Australian animals such as kangaroos and wombats.
The region surrounding the property is renowned for its superior winemaking, and guests will be within walking or biking distance from numerous fantastic wineries where they can spend the day wine tasting and touring vineyards. Additionally, guests can visit the rare volcanic formation known as Hanging Rock for a picnic with unique and spectacular views.
If guests need a break from the great outdoors, they can visit the neighboring town of Woodend or take a day trip to Melbourne.
