This eco-friendly retreat is located near Gippsland Lakes in Victoria, Australia, and offers a unique romantic getaway for two nature lovers. The interior features modern decor and eco-friendly furnishings made from timber reclaimed from the Essendon Tram Depot. The bedroom is brightly lit with natural light and has a queen-size bed with a unique wooden frame. In the bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a shower, and a sink. Linens and towels are provided.

The living room has a sofa, a TV, and sliding glass doors leading to the outdoor deck. The fully equipped kitchen comes with a refrigerator, a microwave, a stove, an oven, a toaster, tea and coffee making facilities, cookware, and dishware. Local “Arrandene” coffee is provided. The dining area features a lovely glass table for two. Other amenities include BluRay, an iPod Bluetooth speaker, a telescope, and a selection of books and magazines. A porta-cot and a high chair are available upon request.

Outside, there is a private patio with a barbecue, where guests can watch the sunset and enjoy views of the farmland and the lakes. Guests may even spot kangaroos and wallabies early in the morning and wombats and possums at night.

This retreat is an eco-friendly earth-sheltered building, which uses natural terrain against the walls of the house to maintain an ideal indoor temperature. The building cannot be seen from above and the roof is covered in a garden. Amenities in this unique accommodation include a TV, a BluRay player, an iPod speaker, a selection of books and magazines, and a telescope for enjoying the incredible views of the Gippsland Lakes. A barbecue is provided.
