This unique rental can be found in Yambuk, Victoria, and is ideal for a family vacation. The rental is a Sydney City double-decker train carriage, built in the 1950s before being decommissioned in the late 1980s. The train carriage has been fully renovated to become a deluxe vacation rental.
A total of four guests can be accommodated as there are two queen-size bedrooms, and a sofa bed is located in the living area. In addition, guests will find a full bathroom in the rental that offers plenty of privacy. There is a simple kitchenette where guests can prepare drinks and snacks, although they will have access to a full communal kitchen just a short walk away.
The rental has a wonderful shaded deck where guests can enjoy relaxing in the sunshine and there is a large lawn in front of the carriage where younger glampers can enjoy playing.
In their private space, guests will find a small kitchenette but they are also welcome to prepare full meals in the communal kitchen located in a separate building on the property. It has gas hotplates, a microwave, a kitchen sink, and a bench-top. The hosts also provide plenty of pots, pans, and cutlery.
There are reverse cycle air conditioners in all the units, but they are controlled via a central system and not the actual accommodation.
The hosts provide all linens and towels for guests' convenience, along with toiletries in the bathroom.
