The seashell-encrusted kitchen countertops and conch shell mosaic on the terrace floor add an extra seaside charm. Rounding out the quiet environment are collections of exquisite Indian antiques and fascinating posters of movie icons.

The Bahamian island of Eleuthera features more than 100 miles of pristine beaches and aquamarine waters. Pink sand beaches such as French Leave Beach provide visitors with a rare aquatic beauty unlike anywhere else. What’s more, the beaches are almost always quiet, affording beachgoers privacy against a glorious ocean backdrop. The Glass Window is a bridge overlooking a meeting place between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean; guests have described this sight as a near-religious experience. Significant efforts are being made to preserve the local ocean wildlife, such as the sea turtles at Edwin’s Turtle Lake Marine Reserve. The Leon Levy Plant Preserve boasts a vast display of exotic plants, gardens, and bird species. Of course, there is plenty of action to be found in the way of water sports. Snorkeling, diving, boating, fishing, kayaking, surfing, and other seaside recreation beckon visitors from all over. Shops and art galleries sell charming seaside souvenirs, and restaurants and bars serve tasty food and drinks. Guests can visit the neighboring Harbour Island and Windermere Island for an even more memorable trip to the Bahamas.
