South Water Caye is a private island with only two other smaller resorts on the island. Hosts have owned this piece of paradise for over 30 years. No cars, no golf carts just a spectacular island situated within Belize's largest marine reserve. Access to the reef for amazing snorkeling directly from the beach. Spotted eagle rays, colorful coral gardens abundant with tropicals and wildlife. There are expert guides, and boats are also available to take guests exploring other parts of this fabulous eco-system just minutes away from an island paradise.

Additional Guiding Snorkel Excursions can be arranged at $50.00 per person and per excursion to explore the different reef systems within the reserve.

There is a full-service bar on the island with a pool table for additional recreation.

Dedicated classroom and reference library for guests use when there is not a class going on. If there is a school group on the island many professors are open to having private guests sit in on classroom lectures where guests will have the opportunity to learn more about this diverse marine eco-system. Guests are instructed to make arrangements with the island manager.

Activities here are in abundance like the wildlife. Glampers can explore through the dense mangrove forests, coastal lagoons, and watch some of the spectacular wildlife native to this area such as the endangered West Indian manatee and sea turtles. Scuba diving and snorkeling are the main activities here when not relaxing on the pristine beaches and glampers will have the option to take scuba courses and tours depending on their level as well as fishing trips, caving, and Mayan culture tours. This location offers unprecedented opportunities to view some of the ocean's most spectacular habitats and marine life up close. Other water activities include kayaking and paddle boarding on the crystal blue water and on land, there are beach volleyball courts to keep glampers entertained.
