As a lover of luxury, as well as the outdoors, I, as an editor at Glamping Hub, have found myself in the perfect position, not only professionally but within my travels. In a normal day at the office, I get to see firsthand the gorgeous collection of accommodations that our website has curated, allowing me to personally craft my past, present, and future adventures. In this blog post, I am happy to share two of my most cherished glamping experiences, as well as two more that I am planning for in the future.
When planning a getaway, I have to always keep a few things in mind. For instance, comfort and convienience can never be compromised. That being said, when I need a vacation, I expect to immerse myself in sheer relaxation and head to where I can be completely secluded in nature.
While planning a vacation where the objective was that I could reconnect with myself while I disconnect from everyday life, I decided that this gorgeous ski cabin near Taos, New Mexico, would be perfect for me. Waking up in the shadows of the surrounding mountains was truly magical, and being encompassed by the silent, profound forest was food for the soul. As my stay came to an end, I could imagine myself staying here forever.
In complete contrast with the previous accommodation, this unforgettable villa in Mallorca allowed me to experience the magic of the Mediterranean at its best. Situated close to the rocky coast, this property had everything I needed and more.
Basking in the warm Spanish sun was made easy with the private pool, which made deciding where I would go relax for the day a difficult choice. Here, I was able to appreciate luxury, sophistication, and comfort throughout my entire stay, and again, imagined myself perpetually sunbathing by the sparking swimming pool.
British Columbia is a destination that I have had my eye on for a while. From the ominous, mid-latitude rainforest to the peaceful, stoney shores, it seems ideal for a glamping getaway to get away from it all. This breathtaking tree house-style cottage features a private hot tub and a secret reading nook, both of which would be attractive to any glamper looking for a romantic stay with a significant other or a trip away with friends. As spring sneaks into the northern hemisphere, I am truly look forward to a rejuvenating stay along Halfmoon Bay.
As stated above, when I travel, I look forward to staying in an accommodation that keeps my comfort in mind, as I appreciate escaping from everyday life. I have never stayed in an accommodation outside of my comfort zone, and I feel that this unique Airstream in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and its desert is the perfect place to start. The combination of the still isolation of the desert mixed with a vintage-esque dwelling is comparable to something out of a 1960s movie—exactly where I want to be.
