Maun, Ngamiland District

Scenic views
The main highlight of the property is the surrounding land, so the facilities are situated to promote constant visibility and access to wildlife. And because this site has been around since before the end of the Second World War, there has been plenty of time to bring the camp to a level of complete comfort and luxury. This site is also eco-friendly in many ways: food is composted, water waste is dispersed into several septic tanks, and combustible litter is burned in a protected area. Glass, plastic, and cans are all brought back to Maun for treated recycling.

Walking Safaris: Guided bush walks will give you a more in depth understanding of the diversity of the environment, with professionals at your disposal to answer any questions you may have about the reserve and its inhabitants. You will be able to explore small islands, and spot the Pel’s Fishing Owl.
Motorboat Cruises: This activity allows for the exploration of the winding waterways and large open lagoons of the Okavango Delta. This is an ideal activity for the guests that enjoy bird watching – herons and storks can be spotted, especially during breeding season. This will also allow you to observe the amazing reptiles and plants.
Mokoro Trips: This will help you see the amazing marine wildlife of the delta – sitatunga, fish eagles, painted reed frogs, and malachite kingfishers can all be spotted. Because mokoros are less noisy than motorboats, you will have the chance to see many more creatures, and at a smaller distance.
Fishing: Guests can be brought to the best fishing areas, not only providing you with even more amazing landscapes but also allowing you to catch tilapia and tiger fish, African pike and sharp tooth catfish.
If you wish to take part in activities that are not available at this site, transportation to a nearby camp can be arranged.
