In order to allow for a truly restful experience, the yurt is not vehicle-accessible. Guests can park in the main parking lot and then walk down the hill to access the yurt retreat. With the pub just up the hill, cooking facilities or fridges are not available in the yurts, though the hosts offer a shared cooler on the back patio for items guests wish to keep cold. The yurts are an opportunity to unwind and reconnect with nature, though, guests will find free Wi-FI on the property.

Be kind to the environment and take care of the surroundings.

Situated on a cider farm and distillery, glampers can enjoy peaceful strolls through the orchards while learning about traditional cider and spirit-making. Afterward, guests can enjoy the craft ciders and spirits with guided tastings by knowledgeable staff at their bar. This property also boasts an orchard-side bistro and farmhouse store.

The surrounding Cowichan Valley, situated an hour north of Victoria, is a region that’s as renowned for its natural beauty and breadth of activities as it is for its culture and friendly locals. The Cowichan Region consists of a vast belt that extends all the way across Southern Vancouver Island and features a kaleidoscope of vistas, villages, and opportunities for adventure. As Canada’s only “Maritime Mediterranean climatic zone”, the region is well known for its agricultural bounty and more recently, its sheer number of internationally acclaimed wineries. Cowichan’s temperate climate also allows for all kinds of year-round outdoor fun like beachcombing, kayaking, hiking, golfing, fishing and more. Cowichan is such a complete vacation destination that in 2015, Vacay.ca named it one of the top 20 places to visit in Canada. Visit tourismcowichan.com for a list of local activities.
