Wildlife viewing and birding are also very popular, along with 4x4 back country safaris trips. There are a few horseback outfitters in the area, offering trail rides for beginners to experienced riders, and endless mountain bike single track trails to ride or quiet country roads to ride along.
If agritourism is of interest, there are numerous organic farms, orchards, wineries, and farmers' markets in the region to visit. Moreover, there are six local historical and artisan museums nearby, and there are First Nation cultural tours to experience. The alpine hiking is fantastic, with glaciers and waterfalls to see all within an hour's drive from this eco-resort. You can rent kayaks and paddle board or bring your own.
The small nearby towns of Lillooet and Lytton both have a number of art galleries and historical museums to visit along with gift shops with local work from the region. There are pubs, cafes, sporting good stores, grocery stores and drug stores for your personal needs.
