Outside, there is recycled patio seating, a picnic table, and a fire pit. Bear hangs are provided to keep food safe from wild animals. The private, clean, and odorless outdoor bathrooms are vermiculture composting toilets.
The rental is a self-check in property. When guests book, they will get a packing list and suggestions, and the gate and yurt code will be emailed the day before check-in.
Location + Surroundings
This secluded yurt retreat sits on the side of a forested mountain, with nearly 1,000 incredible acres of wilderness. There are four sets of mapped trails, and guests can often spot rabbits, elk, turkeys, and deer, and the bird watching is incredible. There is no vehicle access after the trailhead parking area, so glampers must hike to the yurt, which adds to the remote atmosphere of the property. There are also grassy trails scattered throughout the property that link to Kootenay National Park, which features both icy mountain rivers and steamy hot springs. The village of Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia, Canada, is two miles from the property and boasts the world-famous Radium Hot Springs Mineral Pools. In the summer, glampers can hike and mountain bike through the miles of trails winding through the nearly 1,000 acres of private land surrounding the yurt. In the winter, there are miles of signed trails with different levels of difficulty for snowshoeing, while groomed trails are also available for cross country skiing and fat tire biking.
One of the area's biggest attractions is Radium Hot Springs Mineral Pools, where glampers can soak in the orderless pools. The village of Radium Hot Springs offers a variety of delicious restaurants, cafes, and shops. In the summer, glampers can go rafting, paddleboarding, kayaking, and canoeing in the local rivers.
