Roberts Creek accommodation: log cabin for rent

This fantastic log cabin sits in tranquil woodlands in Roberts Creek, British Columbia, and is perfect for a weekend getaway from Vancouver or a summer vacation with the kids. This is a great place for a quiet retreat, close to beaches and restaurants, hiking and mountain biking trails, and cross-country skiing in winter. (Please note: this is not a place to party - it's a cabin to retreat to for some much needed R&R!). The cabin has one bedroom and one bathroom and can accommodate five glampers. The bedroom features a queen-size bed, and there is a sofa bed suitable for two children or one adult, and a twin air bed that accommodates a child or one adult. (There is no charge for children under 18). In the bathroom, glampers will find a sink, a toilet, and a shower, as well as a double Jacuzzi tub for soaking tired muscles. Linen and towels are provided.

After a long day out exploring the area, glampers can enjoy the quiet surroundings of the log cabin. In the charming living area, there is a sofa, a TV with a DVD player, a Blu-Ray player, and plenty of DVDs. Those who enjoy a bit of competition can haul out the board games before dinner. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with everything needed to prepare meals, including a stove, an oven, a refrigerator, and a coffeemaker. There is also a dining table. Other amenities include heating, a washer/dryer, and Wi-Fi. Cable TV is not available but hosts provide an HDMI cable in case guests want to plug their computer into the larger monitor to watch their own subscriptions.

The log cabin boasts three private decks, where glampers can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, fire up the BBQ in the afternoon, or dine al fresco in the summer months. The hosts provide a volleyball/badminton net for some fun in the sun, and the property connects to a horse ranch which glampers can access with supervision. The host is a certified Equine Facilitated Therapist and Family Counsellor and will be happy to book a session with guests if they are interested.

There is so much to do on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of British Columbia! Guests can go kayaking, paddle boarding or fishing. Guests can visit the shíshálh Nation Tems Swiya Museum or the Marine Education Centre in Gibsons, or Iris Griffith nature park. Mountain bikers can catch some air at Coast Gravity Park or on the Sprockids trails. If guests are lucky they will see killer whales or grey whales right from the beach. Beachcombing and ocean swimming is just 2.5 kilometers away. Hike up to Skookumchuck and watch the crazy changing of the tide in the narrows. Or chill at the cabin and watch the deer sat on the deck. Sometimes elk or bears will saunter by. Guaranteed guests will feel like they are forest bathing while they relax on the deck. In winter, guests can have a hot Jacuzzi soak and then sit out on the deck in the privacy of the trees to cool down. Outdoorsy people will love this little cabin in the woods.
