Description of Glamping Units

On this quaint glamping property in Canada, guests find a lovingly restored bluebird bus with a queen-size bed. The owners lived full-time in it for five years, and it still maintains a lived-in, cozy feeling. A private composting courthouse and on demand propane shower are adjacent to the bus. It is also fitted with a kitchenette that gives guests access to a four burner propane stove, small fridge, coffee maker, toaster, blender, cooking utensils, pots, and dishes. There is a radio/turntable/CD player, and the host provides bedding. This accommodation sleeps up to three guests, with the option of an extra bed in addition to the queen-size bed, if necessary. Location + Surroundings

This beautiful 13-acre property is located on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada, on five acres of forested land and another three that are untouched. The property also has two greenhouses, over 80 dwarf fruit trees and a few chickens. This glamping site strives to follow bio dynamic practices and is famous particularly for its organic garlic, basil and carrots. It is also a Conservation Partner with The Land Conservancy, recognized for the salmon enhancement on the creek that runs through the property, from Saint Mary Lake to the ocean at Vesuvius.

The property has many ponds and lots of bird life. There are close by farms around the property, so guests might see a lama, or hear a peacock, rooster, or goose. This glamping site is a working family farm, and there are between two and six people at any time working at the two greenhouses or on one of the five plots. Read More

This site is on a dead-end lakeside road, within a 15 minute walk to swimming in big Saint Mary Lake. The glamping site itself also boasts a swimming pond with a dock that visitors regularly use to cool off. According to past visitors and the owners themselves, the farm feels like a sanctuary. There is a ton of bird life, and the creek and ponds are filled with otters, fish and beavers. Even the long driveway serves as a nice walk. Glampers can also visit the local market on Tuesdays or Saturdays, where they can by a range of delicious organic produce. If interested, glampers are also welcome to join in the farm work, which is mostly done by hand.
