Description of Glamping Units
This historic cabin rental just north of Winlaw, British Columbia has one bedroom and can sleep up to two guests. There is a cozy queen-size bed with bug netting and blankets to ensure a peaceful nights sleep in both summer and winter. All linens and towels are provided. An off-grid cabin, it is equipped with a solar panel and thus limited power is available. Glampers are able to keep warm and cook on the wood stove and the kitchen has all the amenities to cook up a delicious feast. The kitchen includes all pots and pans, glasses, and dishware, as well as a French Press coffee pot and kettle, making preparing meals as easy as if at home. This secluded cabin is located between the Slocan Valley Rail Trail and the Slocan River in British Columbia, Canada, and is near to many hiking and biking trails. Ideally located, it is a 45-minute drive from both Nelson and Castlegar and around 40 minutes from Silverton and New Denver. Golfing enthusiasts will also be just a four-minute drive from the View Golf Club.It is also near to many beautiful parks and glampers can reach the Valhalla Provincial Park Trailhead in just 18 minutes and the Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park in around an hour. Hikers will love the scenic Rockside Lake trail while mountain bikers can challenge themselves to The Loop—a biking trail in Perry's siding just north of Winlaw. The Valhalla Provincial Park and the Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park are also renowned for their backcountry hiking, as well as the fine angling for trout in the glacier lakes. The Rails to Trails corridor that runs from Slocan Lake to Winlaw, Passmore, and South Slocan, is also a stunning trail for horse riders, hikers, bikers, and runner. In the winter months, these trails are also used by cross-country skiers and snowshoers. Glampers can also spend the day in the Winlaw Nature Park. With a playground, a picnic area, and an elevated boardwalk, it is perfect for families. There is also a lovely beach for warm summer days.
