Hello! My pronouns are she/her. I am a peacebuilder and hospitality nerd who loves creating space for the present moment. My spouse and I have 2 college-aged children and a cuddly, human-sized dog. I am a proud disabled business owner, running my award-winning vacation rental with my team while bedbound with a severe chronic illness. My family and I feel so lucky to live in this woodsy, waterfront paradise and we love sharing it with our guests.

We supply sustainable, health-conscious amenities & products everywhere we can, starting from the guesthouse itself which is built from reclaimed materials. To honour the Treaty One land we live on, a portion of our profits support Indigenous-led projects to reclaim land and ceremony.

The studio is on the main floor of our 2-storey guesthouse with a separate loft apartment above, nestled near our home in 5 acres of aspen woods. We keep the space spotlessly clean & sanitized, uncomplicated & cozy; a space for you to breathe and relax.

👉 PAINTED TURTLE LAKE
The lake is 2 acres in size, fed by an underground stream. Our acreage has private access to the beach (shared between guests, host family, and upstairs tenants).
✔️ SUMMER: sunbathe, canoe, swim or bring tackle to fish
✔️WINTER: bring cross-country skis or rent our snowshoes to spend time on the golf course (instructions listed in House Manual).

The studio is on the main floor of our 2-storey guesthouse, with a separate loft apartment above. It overlooks its own private corner of our shared yard in 5 acres of aspen wood, with a lovely view of our little 2-acre Painted Turtle Lake down the hill and Quarry Oaks golf course past the far shore. Our property is accessed by up to 2.5 miles of gravel road, depending on your direction of travel.

With 4 golf courses, an archery range, Sandilands Provincial Forest, the city of Steinbach and the town of La Broquerie nearby, there is always somewhere to explore.

✔️ Steinbach is less than 15 minutes away by car; it has ample options for groceries, shopping and restaurants.
✔️ Be mindful that some retail stores in Steinbach may be closed on Sundays.

Labroquerie has a lovely accessible walking path about 10 minutes away, and Sandilands Forest offers a large network of trails only 20 minutes from the retreat.

During the golfing off-season we are also permitted to enjoy walking our neighbouring Quarry Oaks Golf Course
