Essex County boasts up to 18 delicious wineries and plenty of local farms, providing guests with delicious wine tasting and lovely vineyards to weave their way around. Pelee Island Winery is a short ferry ride away offering a unique day trip. Nature lovers can rent a bike or head out for some hiking on the surrounding nature trails. Guests can also ride into town to check out the shops and restaurants. In the summer months, the waterfront Seacliff Park is the perfect place to relax while picnicking, enjoying beach strolls, or playing a game of volleyball. Depending on the season, there are open-air concerts, festivals, and fairs to visit. Nearby there are several popular birdwatching destinations including Rondeau and Wheatley Provincial Parks where there are over 300 species of bird to keep an eye out for.
