Description of Glamping Units
This glamping property can be found on Badour Island on beautiful Bobs Lake, part of the Land O' Lakes region and consists of two cottages (The Main Cottage and The Guest Cottage) and a tree house rental, perfect for groups.
The Main Cottage is a beautiful post and beam cottage that features lots of windows throughout and comes with pine wood flooring, as well as an open floor plan in the kitchen, dining room, and living room. There is a wood-burning fireplace in the middle of the large room, and the ceilings are two-stories high, featuring a second set of windows on all four sides that are 16 feet high.
The Main Cottage has three small bedrooms, two on the main floor and one on the upper floor. The upper bedroom has a queen-size bed, which is surrounded on three sides by windows, while the fourth side overlooks the living room, like a loft. The main floor bedrooms each have a wall of windows, and one has a queen-size bed, while the other has bunk beds with a double bed on the bottom.
The fully equipped kitchen features a dishwasher and trash compactor, as well as a water purification system, making the water safe to drink from any faucet. Across the front of the cottage, there is a large deck that wraps around to the back of the cottage rental, where guests will find a gas barbecue. In addition, there are hammocks and swinging chairs, as well as tables to eat out on and chairs to relax in, while guests take in the beautiful lake views. Many guests bring their iPods to the cottage. There is also a ping pong table, a chess set, board games, and puzzles.
Out back of the cottage, there is a shed with a washer and dryer. There is also a half-size basketball court with a mural that gets lit up at night, as well as an outdoor hot shower.
At just a few yards away sits The Guest Cottage. Downstairs, there is a large living room with a futon couch that opens up into a double bed. There is also a bathroom with a compost toilet and an outdoor hot shower. There is a tiny bedroom with bunk beds. In addition, there are a punching bag and boxing gloves for guests to work out with, as well as an exercise bike.
There are two covered porches—one downstairs and one off of the bedroom on the second floor—both of which have wonderful views of the lake. Upstairs, there is a lovely bedroom with a queen-size bed, an air conditioner, a telescope, a skylight that opens, and the aforementioned covered porch.
The Tree House is a very unique accommodation that is located on the adjacent plot of land, and it comes with a queen-size bed, a rocking chair, a deck, a skylight, a stained glass window, a mural of Bob's Lake, a lead beveled glass front door, and a doggie ramp in the back, built for the hosts' poodle who liked to be up there with the host. It is very romantic and has no electricity.
There is a fancy outhouse that serves as the bathroom facilities for these accommodations.
The dock, of which there are 79 steps to get down to it, has a deck with two Adirondack chairs and a chase lounge. There is also a storage for tubes, fishing poles, water skis, and paddles. Read More
