Delightful Tiny House Rental for Glamping Getaway on an Animal Sanctuary near Niagara Falls, Ontario
This delightful tiny house glamping getaway is located in the forest on the property of an animal sanctuary just a short 15 minutes drive to Niagara Falls, Ontario. The nature sanctuary proceeds of the rental help to maintain and care for the wonderful animals that call this space home; donkeys, mules, pot belly pigs, and two wonderful goats. (The property does not crowd fund, nor use social media, it is the guests patronage that helps take care of the rescues. The hosts also work with the local human societies).
The property can accommodate two guests for a romantic and getaway. The interior is modern industrial chic with plenty of natural light and stylish furnishings. The cozy bedroom has a queen-size bed as well as an armchair and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out across the dragonfly pond and garden, where there is also a double deck and sitting area, which makes for the ideal spot for guests to enjoy a morning coffee. The accommodation comes complete with a small functional kitchenette stocked with utensils, a small fridge, a stove top, a microwave oven, a toaster, a coffeemaker, and assorted pots. Additionally, there is an outdoor pizza oven and a barbecue grill (propane). There is also a private fire pit that guests can use, however, they must use the pre-manufactured two-hour burn logs provided by the host due to the proximity of the forest and the animals.
Perfectly secluded from the main house on the property, this cabin has made relaxation and connection to nature a priority. Guests will find an infrared sauna inside the cabin and guests of both the cabin and the tiny house will have access to a private fire pit with specific premanufactured logs provided by the host. Kayaks and fishing rods are also available.
The most important feature of this property is the donkey sanctuary, home to seven donkeys, one mule, four pot belly piggies, two little goats, and three dogs of which two rentals go to helping maintain and care for.
The cabin is self-catering with a lightly stocked kitchen. Tea and coffee are stocked in the kitchen, but this property does not serve breakfast. Guests should note, the kitchenette area is suited for light cooking and sandwiches, it is not a full-service kitchen. There is a four burner stove top, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, coffeemaker and all utensils and dishes, cookware. There is no large oven. The propane barbecue is outside.

The hosts have a very strict policy and highly recommend cancellation insurance at time of booking, as the retreat is unique and the rental revenue is what allows them to care for the rescues. It is a unique property that is booked well in advance and have found it difficult and a loss to try to re-rent at short notices. The hosts appreciate guest understanding.

In season, June to mid-October, there is a three-night minimum stay.
