Book a romantic weekend retreat in this luxury tree house: Otter River, Port Burwell (Ontario)
This romantic tree house is located near Port Burwell Sparta, Ontario and can accommodate two guests. This studio space has a double futon and a wood-burning stove. Guests are just steps away from the outhouse . Linens and towels are not provided.
The kitchenette comes with dishes, pots,a kettle, and a Grench press coffeemaker. Other amenities include a five-gallon container of potable water and parking. Bring your own drinking water, bedding, pillow cases and cast iron frying pan
Outside, there is a back deck with seating, a picnic table, a fire pit, 10 miles of hiking trails, four wildlife ponds, two swimming and fishing docks, and two miles of frontage on Otter River.
This rental includes on-site parking. All the cabins are rustic with no running water or electricity. Some have solar lighting and the others are supplied with battery operated lights. All are equipped with dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, basic necessities, pillows, a fire pit, and a picnic table. Guests have to bring their own drinking water, bedding or sleeping bags, and pillowcases. They are all insulated with a wood stove and firewood is provided. If you want more it can be bought for $20/trunk load
All the cabins have access to the two-person shower and running water from outdoor hydrants
Guests have access to four on-site ponds, two of which feature docks for swimming and catch-and-release fishing. There are 10 miles of private trails right on the property, as well as two miles of riverfront on Otter River.

Wood is provided but if you require more it’s available at a cost of $20/trunk load. We’re no longer supplying campstoves so you’ll need to bring something to cook on or cook over the fire. Bring your own cast iron frying pan. Several cabins are walk in only so ask when booking.
Please take all garbage and recycle bottles and cans with you when you leave.
This property is pet-friendly and dogs love the freedom.

Guests can go swimming or catch-and-release fishing at either of the two docks. The spring fed ponds are designed to attract wildlife, so guests can prepare the camera and get some priceless shots of the local birds and animals. Guests can also head to Lake Erie which is only a 10 minute drive for more fishing, boating, canoeing. We have a small beach on the Otter on the property. Guests can also enjoy scenic walks, hikes, bike rides, and bird watching along the 10 miles of private trails. In the spring, the maple trees are ready for syrup collecting. Winter guests can enjoy a wide selection of activities, including tobogganing, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
