Built in the 1920s and updated to bring its comforts into the modern era while retaining its historic charm, this cottage rental is located near Port Stanley, Ontario, and can accommodate ten guests for a peaceful getaway to a 200-acre farm. It has four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Featuring hardwood floors, dark wooden furniture, and ample natural light, the bedrooms are furnished with five full-size beds in total, with three of the beds in separate bedrooms and two of them sharing a bedroom. In one of the bathrooms, guests will find a clawfoot bathtub. Linens and towels can be provided for an additional charge, or guests may bring their own.

In the living room, guests will find a sofa and an armchair arranged around a cozy fireplace and a television. The dining room seats eight guests. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with an oven, a stove, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a toaster, and a coffeemaker. Other amenities include satellite television, a stereo system, air conditioning, and a washer and dryer. Outside, guests will find a covered front porch with wicker furniture, a barbecue grill, a fire pit, and 200 acres of farm property filled with English gardens and spruce trees.

With the Main Beach and Little Beach of Port Stanley just a five-minute drive away and the beach of Port Bruce Provincial Park just a 10-minute drive away, guests will be well-positioned to enjoy swimming and a variety of water sports on Lake Erie. For canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and jet skiing, guests can rent watercraft from Sport in Port on the Main Beach and Bridgeview Marina in Port Stanley.

For the enjoyment of the great outdoors on land, guests can take a bike ride on the Lake Erie Waterfront Trail or go hiking at the Solitude Nature Reserve and the Yarmouth Natural Heritage Area, where they can also go snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. While exploring these natural areas, guests may spot wildlife such as white-tailed deer, coyotes, bald eagles, great horned owls, blue herons, yellow-billed cuckoos, painted turtles, and northern leopard frogs.

For more birdwatching, guests can head to Hawk Cliff, where more than 200 species of birds have been spotted. Raptors such as broad-winged hawks and golden eagles can be seen from September to December, while migratory songbirds can be observed in September and early October.
