These rustic cottage rentals near Rice Lake, Ontario are perfect for a family resort getaway and can accommodate up to six guests. There is a double bed in two of the bedrooms and two-size beds in the third bedroom. All of the cottages have pullout couches or futons in the living area for additional guests. Beds are made with linens, blanket, pillows and comforter. These well-spaced cottages are equipped with full kitchens including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker (basket filters not provided), pots, pans, dishes and most common utensils. Each cottage has a four piece bathroom. The cottages have a 19" television and get about four local stations. Outside, glampers will find a lovely decking area with a picnic table, and a fire pit for relaxing and enjoying the lake views.
Guests can purchase wood at the store and rent a barbecue if they wish. Glampers need to bring kitchen and bath towels, baking dishes such as muffin pans, cookie sheets or cake pans, all paper products, food, and bedding for the pullout couch if they plan to use it.
Wi-Fi is available at the store or in the games room situated on the glamping site. For family fun, guests can swim, fish, or enjoy the free use of the canoes and kayaks on the scenic Rice Lake, kindly provided by the host. There is a games room on the site, where guests can play pool or arcade games with their group, perfect for those rainy days. Additionally, there are basketball courts, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, and a large playground for the kids.
In the evening, when the sun sets, glampers can take a photo of the beautiful sunset or relax by the fire pit and get to know fellow glampers while toasting s'mores, all in a peaceful country atmosphere. The glamping site sells lots of fishing tackle, basic groceries, and Kawartha Dairy ice cream. Furthermore, there is a small restaurant where guests can enjoy a great breakfast or lunch snacks if they do not feel like cooking on their vacation.
