Location + Surroundings
Originally built in 1933 as a hunting resort, this glamping property sits nestled in the Haliburton Highlands of Ontario. Surrounded by pines, this relaxing and private setting is only minutes from Wilberforce, making it easily accessible yet still secluded. This region of Ontario is dotted with hundreds of lakes, big and small, which surround the property. From Dark Lake, with its sandy beaches, and Grace River or Grace Lake, with their tranquil blue waters, to the Prospector Trail that runs right through the property, guests have an abundance of ways to spend their days outside. Three hours from Ottawa, and just about the same from Toronto, this property is the perfect escape from the city. Read More

No matter what guests are looking for, this property has something for everyone. Guests can relax by the lake on the sandy beach as the kids have diving competitions and do cannonballs off the dock. For a bit of adventure, there are kayaks available for guests, in which they can paddle the water trail from Dark Lake to Grace Lake. Additionally, all around the property, there are miles of multi-purpose trails to be explored by foot, bike, or even ATV. The Prospector Loop Trail, for example, runs right through the property. The route encompasses long abandoned mines, such as the Harcourt Graphite Mine, the Dwyer, Schickler, Tripp and Clark mines, all long lost to forest undergrowth.
