Off the kitchen, there is a deck with a table, chairs, and a barbecue, ideal for enjoying meals in the fresh woodland air. A private lake with a dock is also available for use, as well as the trails leading to the island’s Confederate Trail.

Glampers will feel like they are truly escaping it all with the tranquil forest surroundings, while still being right around the corner from all that eastern Prince Edward Island has to offer, including quaint fishing villages, golf courses like Brudenell and Dunderave, and wineries such as Rossignol Estate and Newman Estate. Eastern PEI has a picturesque jagged coastline with plenty parks, all of which are easily accessible by car. Basin Head Provincial Park and Beach, Panmure Island Provincial Park and Beach, Greenwich National Park are among the most notable of the area.

The Wood Island Ferry is a mere 20 minutes away so that arrival and departure to and from Nova Scotia is a breeze. On the site, glampers can take advantage of the private lake and dock and utilize the canoe, pedal boat, rowboat, and kayaks, which are all available for guests’ use. For those with a valid PEI fishing license, fishing on the lake or nearby marinas and rivers is a popular activity. Guests can also hike or bike the Confederation Trail right off the property to explore even more of Prince Edward Island. Days can also be spent golfing, bird watching, sunbathing at the beach, searching for beach glass, and of course, trying the delicious local seafood.
Visitors looking for a bit of adventure might like geocaching, kayaking the Murray River, or horseback riding along the trails or beach. The island is also filled with a unique history and culture, which will be evident as guests drive along the red clay Scenic Heritage Roads, climb to the top of one of the historical lighthouses like the nearby Cape Bear Lighthouse, or attend a ceilidh, which is Celtic for a musical gathering or kitchen party and boasts music, singing, dancing, and more.
