After taking a forest road, you will find a beautiful log cabin to welcome you.
Located in the heart of the forest, you can retreat out of time and enjoy its enveloping atmosphere. Take advantage of the fire to warm up after one of the many hikes offered at Parc Récréoforestier or La Mauricie National Park. You will enjoy a moment alone or with your partner while watching a movie after a nice hot bath.
**To read carefully: A log house in the middle of a large forest is not a place for the faint of heart. Unfortunately, real log homes are impossible to seal completely. While we do our very best to prevent unexpected visits to the cabin, there may be times when you hear mice, squirrels, see spiders and other insects on the property. If this is one of your phobias, this experience may not be for you. In addition, the path/road to get there is a forest road (gravel and ruts).
Also be aware that lighting is provided by a solar panel to prevent problems during power outages. We therefore promote soft lighting in order to enjoy an optimal experience. **
That being said, for nature lovers, your room and the chalet has modern comforts: optics fiber for internet, running water, electricity etc. You have access to the entire household except for the guest's room. And as we want you to rest, everything you need is on site: bedding, towels, wood for your fire, dishes, utensils etc. You will also find on site board games, books, puzzles to occupy your evenings.
MASSAGE THERAPY:
We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to receive a professional relaxing massage or a therapeutic massage in the comfort of the cabin (write to us to validate the availability of massage therapists). These treatments are offered by certified massage therapists. No need to travel, no stress to get back on the road after your moment of relaxation, an unforgettable experience! Receipts for your insurance will be available on site.

We are happy to share our group/family national park pass at the Dome that will give full access to La Mauricie National Park which is located just a 15-minute drive away (St-Mathieu entrance); Hiking, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and much more are waiting for you!
You will be only 10 minutes away from the very well-known Duché de Bicolline if you are a fan of live-action role-playing. ‘’Bicolline has become a reference in the world of medieval-fantasy immersion and has grown into a community of players that come from all around the world.’’
Lots of restaurant options are available to you in St-Mathieu-du-Parc downtown and the neighboring village, St-Élie-de-Caxton. We also have a liquor store and convenience store in St-Mathieu-du-Parc.
The town of Shawinigan is only 25 minutes away.
