Yackandandah

Step back in time to the village of Yackandandah, known as one of the prettiest villages in the whole of Australia. Located at the foothills of the Stanley State Forest, the centre of the town is a National Trust designated area, and most of the buildings date back to the 1800s, when Yackandandah was an important gold-mining town. Now it is full of acclaimed artists selling their wares, so stroll among the streets and enjoy the galleries and museums. You are also extremely well set up to explore Stanley Forest, as well as Allan’s Flat Reserve. The landscape of rolling hills, berry farms, cobalt-blue creeks, and gold rush trails will lift and revitalise you, and the mountain bike trails in Stanley Forest are great for any adrenaline junkies out there!
