The route known as the French Way was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This is the route with the longest historical tradition and the best known internationally. It begins in Roncesvalles (Navarre) and reaches Santiago de Compostela, after having covered 750 kilometres. It is therefore a route that links Europe with the north of Spain, taking in secluded churches, bridges, cathedrals, convents... always with greenery as a backdrop.
