Kitimat overlooks the incredible Douglas Channel, providing enough entertainment via mother nature for guests to enjoy. However, further entertainment can come from visiting the Kitimat Museum & Archives, where guests can see incredibly well-curated exhibits and enjoy the historical education provided there. This property and surrounding areas boast a sizeable forest trail network which includes suspension bridges over a number of watercourses. the nearby Gitnadoiks River Provincial Park and Protected Area is a must-see for stunning scenery including waterfalls and swimming holes. Fishing opportunities are also available, as well as hiking trails and beautiful views and wildlife. The port city of Prince Rupert is just over two hours away by car and is home to the Museum of Northern British Columbia, the Prince Rupert Fire Museum Society, and the North Pacific Cannery. There are also plenty of souvenir-shopping and dining opportunities in Prince Rupert and also in Houston.
