With Shuswap Lake just a little over two miles to the south, guests will be well-positioned to enjoy a wide variety of water-based activities, such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, boating, windsurfing, waterskiing, and even scuba diving. Guests interested in fishing will find 19 species of fish in the lake, including rainbow trout, burbot, Kokanee, and whitefish.
Guests can access the lake at Herald Provincial Park, where they can also go walking on a nature trail to visit Margaret Falls, hiking on a trail that leads to a scenic view of the lake, and birdwatching in both the woods and the shore of the lake, which provides opportunities to see great blue herons.
More opportunities for nature walks and hiking can be found on the wooded trails that are located within walking distance of the farm on which the tree house is located. At the farm itself, guests are welcome to help with feeding the livestock and collecting the hens' eggs. Inside the tree house and on the property, guests can also play ping pong, Molkky (a Finnish game that is like bowling), bocce, horseshoes, and board games.
