Guests will first come across the Lighthouse Trail Loop, home to the Amphitrite Lighthouse, where each visitor will uncover postcard-like views of the Pacific Ocean, filled with breaching whales sometimes visible to guests as they splash in and out of the water. Bald eagles are known to be soaring overhead as well, watching over hikers as they make their way from one trail to another. Barclay Sound and the Broken Group Islands in Pacific Rim National Park are also visible along the Lighthouse Trail Loop, so guests should be sure to bring their cameras for an unforgettable day.
A 30-minute walk from the rental or a three-minute drive will land visitors at Big Beach or Brown’s Beach, via trails called Artist Loops, Ancient Cedars, and Rocky Bluffs, all great hikes that further display incredible views of the coastline and walk visitors past some of the oldest standing trees in the region.
Many beaches can be found near the rental as well, with two of them, Little Beach and Terrace Beach both within walking distance, and Wickanninish Beach and Long Beach just a short drive or bus ride away. Each pebbled beach provides the perfect backdrop while enjoying a picnic lunch or dinner at one of the picnic tables or right out on the beach. The area boasts incredible sunsets, tidal pools, and wildlife watching, along with surfing and kayaking, making every beach outing an adventure that guests can experience.
