Guests can sign up to take part in zip-lining, electronic bike tours, and guided night hikes around the rainforest. Guests can also hike during the day along the trails connecting the tree houses to the jungle. These are excellent opportunities to take photos of waterfalls, rugged mountains, and gorgeous tropical flora, spot toucans, or view diverse wildlife like monkeys, sloths, and iguanas.
In the community rancho, guests can participate in yoga classes, enjoy drinks at happy hour, or socialize with other guests, volunteers, and staff. They can relax with a massage or other treatments at the riverside spa cabin, rest in hammocks, or tour the onsite gardens.
Two whitewater rivers run through the community. Guests can swim in the natural pools and jump off the waterfalls. During the dry season, they can snorkel to see frogs and schools of colorful fish, or they can search for fossils and shells after a storm.
More opportunities for outdoor adventure and cultural excursions await outside the community. Guests can tour nearby chocolate farms and coffee plantations or head to Playa Blanca, a beach on the Golfo Dulce, to swim, surf, snorkel, and kayak. The Golfo Dulce is also wonderful for scuba-diving, deep sea fishing, and boat tours to watch for dolphins and whales.
Guests can go whitewater rafting on nearby rivers such as the Sierpe or go climbing in the mountains overlooking the beaches and rainforest on the Osa Peninsula. They can head to the Costa Ballena for more snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, and kayaking, as well as paddle boarding and surfing. Unique crafts and souvenirs can be purchased at local markets and shops, and guests can enjoy authentic Costa Rican dishes at local restaurants.
Hiking, horseback riding, and swimming are popular activities at Nauyaca Waterfalls. Nearby national parks include Piedras Blancas, Corcovado, and Amistad, where guests can go hiking, take photos, and view wildlife through several more acres of lush rainforest and exotic, rugged wilderness. They can zip-line over river gorges and canopies of cloud forest, or take boat tours through dense mangroves to watch for more exotic birds or wildlife like crocodiles.
