Grand Gorge

Grand Gorge is a small hamlet that lies just north of the rolling, green Catskill Mountains. It is somewhere that many campers visit when they are looking for somewhere with a peaceful atmosphere, but that lies close to some stunning natural attractions. Nearby reservoirs and state parks provide an excellent starting point for when you venture into the surrounding New York wilderness, one of the most popular being Burnt-Rossman Hills State Park. Here, you can enjoy a range of light hiking paths and outdoor activities. The nearby Halcott Mountain boasts the best orange-tinted fall views over the mountains, as well as more challenging hiking trails, and the iconic Big Indian Wilderness takes you into the heart of the Catskills with a series of tree-lined trails.
