Rustic Cabin Perfect for Groups in the Heart of the Ozark Hills, Missouri
This rustic cabin is off-the-grid but has a small solar system. The ambiance is of simpler times, but in a wonderfully scenic setting. It overlooks the Gasconade River Valley in the Ozark Hills, and can accommodate up to four guests. There is one bedroom loft, and a separate privy outside the cabin. The bedroom features two queen-size beds. Linens and towels are provided.
The kitchen is equipped with full cooking and food cooling facilities. Other amenities include gas heating, solar-powered lights, and oil lamps. Parking is available on site. The cabin is turn-key, you need only your personal things.
Outside there is a large porch with a swing, a hammock, and comfortable furniture for relaxing under the stars. A fire pit, a barbecue kettle, and wood are provided for guests to use.
Glampers have private access to the Gasconade River and can make use of the on-site canoes. Wi-Fi access is available, if needed, at the owner's location. Linens and towels and all cooking and eating utensils are provided.

Domestic travelers can fly into Rolla National Airport, which is only 23 miles away. For those traveling from overseas, St Louis Lambert International Airport is two hours and 15 minutes away.

Just a few steps from the retreat, Clifty Creek Natural Area has a two-mile loop leading to the breathtaking Clifty Creek Natural Bridge and picturesque cliffs, perfect for photographers. Birdwatchers can spot kingfishers and Louisiana waterthrush, while hunting is also permitted in the area.
Mark Twain National Forest has around 750 miles of paths perfect for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking. There are over 350 miles of perennial streams, ideal for canoeing, kayaking, and rafting.
Glampers seeking a more relaxed pace can enjoy wine tasting tours at the St James Winery. Guests can enjoy a round of golf at Oak Hills Country Club, Oak Meadow Country Club, and St James Golf Club, all within an hour of the property.
There are two popular Route 66 stops which are reachable in under 40 minutes from the retreat. The historic Devil’s Elbow Bridge is one of Missouri’s seven scenic wonders and offers stunning views over the Big Piney River. Guests with a sweet tooth will love the selection of products on offer at Uranus Fudge Factory.
Under an hour away, Rolla Is home to Fugitive Beach, which is great for sunbathing and swimming. There are waterslides, cliff jumps, and sand volleyball for active glampers. Thrill seekers will love the range of attractions at Splash Zone Waterpark. Next door to that, Ber Juan Park is ideal for picnics and relaxing under the sun.
Just over an hour away, guests can head to Jefferson City or Lebanon for a shopping, bars, restaurants, cafes, and sightseeing. Further out, St Louis has a zoo, botanical gardens, museums, and much more for glampers to see.
Those who would rather stay close to the retreat can have fun without having to travel. Guests have private access to the Gasconade River and can make use of the boats, or canoes provided by the host. Swimming and fishing are also popular in the river. There are mountain bikes for visitors to use. Glampers can also relax with a book or bask in the natural surroundings while overlooking the vast woodland area from the comfort of the deck.

There is a two-day minimum stay except on major holiday weekends when the minimum stay is three days. Week-long stays can begin any day except Saturdays.
A maximum of two pets is permitted. Pets must be well-mannered and are not allowed on the furniture. Guests should ensure all pets are treated for fleas and are not left alone indoors unless crated. Horse pens are available on site.
Smoking is not allowed indoors but is permitted on the decks and porches.
