This rustic log cabin is nestled in the heart of San Juan Mountains,Colorado and feels like it’s a million miles from everything. When glampers are ready to hit the sack, both the bedroom and the loft boast a plush, queen-size bed, accommodating up to four guests. The bathroom has a shower/bathtub, a sink, and a toilet. Towels and linens are kindly provided.

The main level has a spacious living area with comfortable furniture, southwestern-inspired accents, and old vinyl records and turntable, and its impressive vaulted, wood-beamed ceilings, lovely wooden paneling, large bay windows, and cozy wood-burning stove give the cabin a unique and relaxing mountain ambiance. Next to the living area, a fully equipped kitchen features plenty of counter space and a breakfast bar.

Outside, there is a large uncovered deck, which has a picnic table, Adirondack chairs, and breathtaking views of the surroundings. Just a few meters from the home, a small yoga studio provides the perfect escape for a morning meditation or an evening yoga session.

Guests have access to a washer and dryer at this glamping site, so packing will be a little easier and staying on top of the laundry will be a breeze. The cabin’s deck is equipped with a wood stove, so that even on snowy evenings, glampers can enjoy the mountain sunset. A separate yoga or meditation studio is also just a few steps away from the cabin, and offers relaxing views of the forest surroundings.

From mountain biking to horseback riding to rock climbing to off-roading, this area has it all. Guests can fill their days with hiking the endless trails of the San Juan National Park, whitewater rafting or kayaking on the Animas River, skiing the local slopes, taking a scenic ride on a vintage steam locomotive on the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, and discovering the incredible Mesa Verde National Park, which has cliff dwellings and archaeological sites that give a peek into how the Ancestral Puebloans lived.

For water lovers, Vallecito Lake is just 18 miles from Durango and offers boating, fishing, paddle boarding, and even ice fishing in the winter.
