The property is a few miles away from Winter Park Resort, an upscale ski resort with live music, restaurants, and a day spa. Families can go downhill or cross-country skiing, sledding, and snow tubing, as well as snowboarding and snowmobiling. Guests can ride ski lifts for spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains, attend an outdoor concert, or dine at a fancy, highly-rated restaurant inside the main lodge. Couples can relax together with a massage in the day spa, or enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through the aspen and pine trees.
In the summer, guests can go kayaking or whitewater rafting along the Fraser and Colorado Rivers. They can also swim, canoe, fish, and ride boats around Lake Granby. Additionally, guests can go hiking, rock climbing, and rappelling in the Rocky Mountains. Just a few minutes outside of Fraser is Rollins Pass, a natural mountain tunnel near the Continental Divide. Here guests can ride ATVs, mountain bikes, and off-road vehicles.
Fraser is wedged between two national parks, Rocky Mountain National Park and Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests. In both parks, guests can hike, bike, and ride horses through dense forests, craggy mountains, and open meadows blooming with wildflowers. They can take photos of the stunning and dramatic alpine landscape, or view wildlife like moose and black bears. Additionally, guests can go climbing in the Rockies, or fishing and boating along pristine lakes and streams. In the winter, both parks have trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, while Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests also has slopes for snowboarding and snowmobiling.
Guests can take day trips to Denver, the capital of Colorado and one of America's most famous cities. They can go shopping and dining downtown, or tour museums and art galleries. Families can visit the Denver Zoo or the Denver Botanic Gardens.
