The cabin can sleep four guests, with two bedrooms, one full bath, and one-half bath. The interior of the rental is bright and spacious, with wooden decor, and plenty of space for guests to relax in comfort. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, while the loft has four singles. The kitchen is fully equipped with the standard appliances, so guests can prepare a cup of coffee in the morning, snacks for a hike, or a family dinner at the end of the day. Best of all here is the outdoor space. The cabin has a front porch and back deck with Adirondack chairs and beautiful wood finishings. To the side of the back deck is where guests will find their own private hot tub, where they can relax while enjoying views of La Plata Mountains.

To start, the Mesa Verde National Park is only 35 miles away from the property, making it the perfect day excursion. Known for its preserved, ancestral cliff dwellings, the park also has hundreds of miles of beautiful and maintained trails. The list of trails is endless, but previous guests have enjoyed hiking the Knife Edge Traill, the Point Lookout Trail, and the Spruce Canyon Trail. Guests can also hike Hesperus Mountain and should be sure to ask the hosts for some recommendations, who are avid hikers. For those who don't want to stretch their legs quite so much should hop in the car and check out the Million Dollar Highway, where they can appreciate the true beauty of the surrounding landscape, from the comfort of the car. In the winter, head over to the Purgatory Ski Resort for some great downhill fun. Only a 45-minute drive, it's a great day trip for the whole family. -
