The ski village is perfectly situated for hikers and mountaineers, with celebrated Mount Sneffels nearby where guests can trek, climb, horseback ride, or walk casually in the summer months. There are other trails leading to Cornet Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Imogene Pass, as well as scenic lookout points in the mountain range to the east. The Montrose Regional Airport is about 90 minutes away to the north.

Mount Sneffels offers glampers the opportunity to go hiking or climbing on the 14,500-foot mountain, or they can try one of the more leisurely trails leading to Cornet Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, or through Imogene Pass. Glampers can fly fish and tube on the San Miguel River in the summer, or head to Telluride Historical Museum for some more insight on the legacy of the 19th-century mining town. The village also hosts live music concerts and events in Town Park in the summers, which is also a great place to have a picnic or play kickball with friends and family.
