This 14-foot rustic yurt is located near the Panhandle National Forests of Idaho and can accommodate three guests for a peaceful getaway to the woods. Set on a 13-acre property full of towering birch trees, the yurt provides an idyllic setting in which guests can reconnect to the great outdoors while enjoying the comforts of a real bed, running water, electricity, heating, and cooking equipment.
Inside the yurt, guests will find a queen-size bed, a writing desk, a wood-burning stove, and a kitchenette surrounded by latticed walls and a wooden floor overlaid with rugs, all of which combine to create a cozy, elegant, and rustic atmosphere. The kitchenette is equipped with a two-burner stove, a mini-fridge, a kettle, pots and pans, plates, and a sink connected to a gravity-fed water system, along with items such as pots, pans, plates, and glasses. Other amenities include a portable heater unit and a Thermarest bed, which is available for guests bringing a child.
Outside, guests will find a porch with a rocking chair, an outhouse, and an outdoor bathtub/shower. Linens, towels, and a pair of robes are provided. A guest parking space is situated about 50 yards from the yurt—close enough to facilitate unloading, while far enough to leave the yurt's natural setting unspoiled. Más información

Inside the yurt, guests will enjoy amenities such as a wood-burning stove, a two-burner range, a mini-fridge, and a gravity-fed water system. Linens, towels, a pair of robes, pots, pans, plates, glasses, and firewood are provided. A Thermarest bed is also available for guests bringing a child.
Outside, guests will find an outhouse, an outdoor bathtub/shower, and a parking space about 50 yards from the yurt. The outdoor bathtub/shower is shared by the host's family, which lives on-site in another yurt. There is a small gravity feed water system for the yurt and a private outhouse. Plenty of wood is provided for guests to stay warm by the fire. The kitchen comes with pots and pans, plates, etc. and a few extras.
The host recommends bringing a headlamp and outdoor slippers for walking to and from the outhouse and the outdoor bathtub/shower. Four-wheel drive may be required to access the property during the winter, depending on the amount of snowfall.
Kayaks and canoes can be rented from the host.
This yurt is located in Sandpoint, Idaho, where it is nestled in the beautiful woods of a 13-acre property. Surrounded by groves of towering birch trees, the yurt provides guests with a peaceful natural setting in which they can reconnect to the great outdoors. Guests will hear the sounds of nature and at times, the trains that pass through the valley to Canada. The property is 1.5 miles away from the tracks. This accommodation also provides convenient access to a variety of natural attractions and outdoor recreation venues, while also being close to town.
Within about 20 minutes, guests can reach the base of the Schweitzer Mountain Resort, the northern shores of Lake Pend Oreille, the Pend Oreille Wildlife Management Area, and Kaniksu National Forest. The latter is part of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests, which encompass more than three million acres lush forests, rugged mountains, and pristine lakes and rivers. A variety of wildlife call the forests home, including elk, deer, grizzly bears, wolves, and caribou. About 45 minutes to the north, guests will also find the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge, which safeguards 2,774 acres of wetlands, hardwood forests, and coniferous forests that provide habitats to a variety of waterfowl, coyotes, moose, beavers, river otters, black bears, bald eagles, and great horned owls.
The yurt is about an hour and 40 minutes from Spokane, where the nearest international airport is located. Más información

Guests can go kayaking, canoeing, boating, and fishing on Lake Pend Oreille. Kayak and canoe rentals are available directly from the host. Boats can be rented from Action Water Sports, and fishing charters can be booked through Seagull Charters.
For hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and ATV riding, guests will find a variety of trails in the Lake Pend Oreille Area of the Panhandle National Forests. Nearby trails include the Myrtle Falls Trail, the Oden Bay Trail, the Mineral Point Trail the Maiden Rock Trail, and the Gold Hill Trailhead. Guests are also welcome to explore the woods of the yurt's property.
For wildlife viewing, guests can visit the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge, which is home to a variety of waterfowl, coyotes, moose, elk, white-tailed deer, beavers, river otters, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and great horned owls.
A variety of year-round activity options can also be found at the nearby Schweitzer Mountain Resort, where guests can enjoy skiing in the winter and mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, huckleberry picking, zip lining, climbing, geocaching, and disc golf in the summer.

Guests can bring a small dog to the Yurt area, but the hosts have free range chickens and a Blue Healer as well. A pet fee applies.
Guests must park just past the garage on the cedar path by the cluster of trees.
Guests should bring a headlamp and outdoor slippers to walk to the outhouse or shower. The hosts provide towels and two robes at the yurt, and they can provide a Therm-a-rest bed for a child if needed.
