Tucked in the hills of San Diego, our organic subtropical farm is a great centrally located getaway destination. The beautiful 3-room space occupies the first floor of the original two-story, three-unit farmhouse on our family farm and has its own garden entrance with no shared spaces. Relax in the two-person hot tub and enjoy the quiet! We have five other farmstay homes here if this one is booked, or you'd like to reserve for a larger party. Whimsical is a spacious, one bedroom apartment; separate entrance with no shared spaces. Completely private. Lots of original art adorns the walls of this beautiful farm unit. Our largest one bedroom, it's spacious enough to spread out and work. The entire bathroom is a unique mosaic piece you walk into. Enjoy your coffee in the front garden while tossing treats to our peacocks when they visit. A rare fruiting mulberry tree greets you at the entry to your private get-a-way on the first floor of the original, three-family farmhouse. Working fireplace, we provide an eco-log for your first night during winter months. Once fire season arrives, fires are prohibited. Decent wifi. We require a signed rental agreement signed within three hours of booking.

Designated parking just for you, follow signs. Hike through the 20 acres of our farm during day light hours or take a good flashlight after sunset and marvel at the night sky when you've familiarized yourself with the roads. The nights here are truly amazing. We ask that you stay on the roads. Your sandy garden is a great place to relax and read or enjoy a glass of wine or soak in the 2-person hottub. Just steps from your front door!

The Oaks Restaurant is a couple miles away and is a rural destination for breakfast, lunch or dinner. For something on the romantic side: down the road a bit further is Temecula Creek Inn's Cork Fire Kitchen. They have a fireside bar that is quite nice for enjoying a drink and chatting before heading home after a nice meal. The other very close restaurant for a nice meal is at Pala Mesa Golf Course. Beautiful views of the greens, and they sometimes have entertainment on the weekends. Definitely call ahead. Our Welcome Note confirming your reservation provides PDF’s of Activities, (on farm and off), wineries, breweries, grocery stores and restaurants. Call ahead as the economic effects of Covid, continue to impact local businesses. For half of the year there's a you-pick strawberry farm right down the road as well. You'll see small signs on Old 395 as you drive in from either direction. Absolutely awesome strawberries, pick them yourself, or buy them already harvested.

Just ask if you have questions about what to see or where to go, there's so much to do in San Diego and nearby Temecula/ Wine Country and the adjacent Fallbrook art community! We offer private homesteading classes: cheese/butter making, jam and canning, and hand churned ice cream. We also offer a beginning Talavera tile mosaic class and an acrylic art pour class. Details and current pricing can be found in our “Activities” PDF sent with our Welcome Note.

Little known, even to San Diegans, Rainbow, California is adjacent to Fallbrook and is right off the I-15 freeway, yet Morning Song Farm seems like it's miles away from the city. One exit north you'll find Temecula's wine country, as well as the renowned Pechanga Resort and Casino. We're only a few minutes off the I-15, we're freeway close. 40 minutes or so to Oceanside's beautiful beaches and Carlsbad's flower fields and Legoland, and an exit south of Temecula's wine country tours, right in between San Diego's and Los Angeles' attractions. Twenty-five minutes or so from Cal State San Marcos University, thirty-five minutes or so from San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido and a little over an hour to Seaworld and world famous Balboa Park. The local farmers' market is on Saturday and is 15 minutes away in Old Town Temecula...a destination in itself. We're one exit south of Temecula. Be sure to check out Temecula Olive Oil Company's tasting bar if you find yourself in Old Town. Adjacent Fallbrook has a few wineries, as well as nearby Temecula. There's a local u-pick strawberry field that shouldn't be missed when in season.

No public transportation is available, although there is an active Uber / Lyft community serving the area. A vehicle is a must.
We've listed Whimsical, our largest one bedroom, as having a maximum occupancy of 4. Please count noses: young, old, and those that are employed by you. The queen bed and QUEEN pull out coach are in the same room, so this is not ideal for two couples. If you need a Pac N Play, just let us know.
