Blowing Rock

Blowing Rock is a small town located in western North Carolina along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. The mountain village is aptly named after the actual Blowing Rock that makes this region famous and features stunning views of mountain peaks, forested woodlands, and of course the Johns River Gorge. Sitting on the northernmost edge of Pisgah National Forest, Blowing Rock and its surrounding area is an outdoor oasis for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and wilderness enthusiasts alike. The nearby national forest is a sprawling area that boasts acres upon acres of vast woodlands crisscrossed with trails for hiking and biking, infinite stunning peaks, and a fair few waterfalls worthy of chasing down. Given the temperate climate of North Carolina, while this particular area surely cools down in the winter, it is still mild enough to enjoy endless glamping activities all year round.
