In a private location with no neighbors or outside noise, the cabin is perfect for secluded getaways. Relax along the river and listen to the calming sounds of the rapids, or hop in a kayak and take a spin on the rapids of the Big Laurel Creek. Just five miles to the north is Hot Springs, North Carolina, where the Appalachian Trail cuts through. There are also plenty of hiking and biking trails in that area apart from the Appalachian Trail as well as the famous natural hot springs in the area. To the east is the Pisgah National Forest, a large federally protected area with additional hiking and biking trails, as well as home to Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak in the Appalachian Mountains. -
