From the adventure junkie to the regular vacationer looking to get away from it all, and everything in between, any guest would find exactly what they're looking for at this property. Just a few minutes away to the southeast lies the city of Helen, a charming community that feels as if it were plucked straight from southern Germany. Guests can enjoy shopping, dining at Germanic restaurants, and strolling through the winding streets while catching glimpses of the Bavarian-inspired architecture. The city is also a hotspot for float tubing and swimming on the Chattahoochee River. Throughout the year, Helen plays host to a number of unique festivities, including a hot-air balloon race in the summer and Oktoberfest in the fall. For wine connoisseurs, the area has a number of wineries including Habersham Winery and Sautee Nacoochee Vineyards.
Up north, the vast Unicoi State Park is the perfect haven for adventure junkies and outdoor enthusiasts, boasting miles upon miles of hiking trails, mountain biking trails, picnic spots with charcoal grills, and a number of breathtaking natural landmarks such as the Anna Ruby Falls. A little further north is the sprawling Chattahoochee National Forest, which offers miles of rugged terrain that would please even the most seasoned outdoorsman. Guests can experience the wilderness up in the canopies via zip line, or stick to the ground with a hike through some of the spectacular Appalachian mountains.
